Providence Health & Services RN - Home Health - Nurse Family Partnership in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Family Partnership Registered Nurse (Home Health Nurse Family Partnership, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence In-Home Services in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
The RNs at the Nurse Family Partnership enjoy a flexible schedule, and don't work on holidays or most weekends.
In this position you will:
Carry a caseload of up to 25 clients, utilizing nursing processes and clinical expertise to build therapeutic relationships, engage in motivational interviewing and mutual goal setting to assist high risk mothers in developing healthy plans for their families.
Be accountable for the delivery of safe, quality care that is individualized for their assigned clients and follows the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act (assessment, planning implementation, evaluation).
Perform home visits in accordance with PI-HS philosophy and the NFP Model Elements and guidelines.
Provide education, support and referral resources in assisting women and their families in attaining their targeted goals.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing
Bachelor’s of Nursing (BSN) degree
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
Valid AK Driver’s license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to travel for required NFP course work
Participation in NCAST Feeding and Teaching Scales training upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 2 years experience in maternal/child health, public health, home health or mental/behavioral nursing
